Captain America : The Winter Soldier (2014)

Directors : Anthony Russo, Joe Russo

The movie was directed by two directors which was probably appropriate since it took on two major stories. One was the personal story of Steve Rogers persoanl relationship with the former Soviet agent known as the Winter Soldier. The other story was about the takeover of Shield and the world by the agents of Hydra.
The movie put a great deal of focus on the Black Widow as she continues to emerge as a major character. The success of her character probably has a lot to do with the talents of Scarlett Johansson, who is just so good. A new character, the Falcon (Anthony Mackie) was also introduced, and he was also really good.
There was an interesting plot with a plea by Hydra, through its spokesman Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford) that they could make the world a great place for 7 billion people if they are allowed to wipe out a couple million who would cause trouble. A popular theme in many science fiction movies - give up your freedom and we can provide you with a better life - is looked at in this intelligent superhero movie.
The movie was a little long, and it did leave off with a lead in to the next movie in the series. As the movie ended Captain America made plans to go after the Winter Soldier.
Overall, a very good movie.
