Doctor Strange (2016)

Director:  Scott Derrickson

The movie opens with a sorcerer, Kaecilius , and his followers stealing pages from an ancient book. They are confronted by The Ancient One, but manage to escape.

We then meet Doctor Strange. Benedict Cumberbatch plays a talented, arrogant nuero-surgeon who gets in a car accident, and loses the fine motor skills in his hands. He searches for a way to heal, and is pointed towards Kamar-Taj, where he finds a sorcerer named Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor). Mordo then brings the skeptical Strange to The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) who shows Strange the astral plane and other dimensions.

The Ancient One decides to take a chance on Strange and takes him in as a pupil. She begins to teach him about magic.

Strange begins reading ancient books and is assisted in his studies by two sorcerers, Mordo and Wong.

Doctor Strange learns that the sorcerers protect the world from the dark dimensions.

Before you know it Doctor Strange is fighting the evil ones and protecting the world.

Overall the movie looks really good, but you have to buy in a rather complicated story that is pretty hard to follow.
