Ant-Man (2015)

Director : Peyton Reed

Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) developed his Ant-Man technology but then he lost his wife to it, and saw it going from a peaceful initiative to one that could be used by SHIELD as an offensive weapon. He shut it down.

His successor and protege, Darren Cross, and his daughter Hope continue the research trying to recreate his shrinking technology. When they close, Hank gets involved again, along with a down and out, recently incarcerated electrical engineer, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd).

As usual, the bad guy is looking to sell out, this time to SHIELD, and Hank wants to stop it. His daughter, of course, joins back on his side and also hooks up with the super hero.

In the extra scene after the movie we find out that Hope will become the Wasp. He mother's old costume is waiting for her.

Ant-Man was a founding member of the Avengers and it is good to see him brought back in to their universe. He was already able to defeat the Falcon, even though Scott was still learning to use the suit.

A good movie, with good special effects. The transitions seemed seamless. The story was weak, but overall the movie was still pretty good.
